Lash Aftercare

How to properly take care of your lash extensions

  1. Avoid getting your lashes wet in the first 24-48 hours after your appointment. This includes hot steamy showers, saunas, swimming pools, the gym, tears

  2. AFTER 24-48 hours, it is very important to wash your lashes with an OIL-FREE lash shampoo once a day or every other day. Letting the water run down on them in the shower does not count (watch video below to see how to wash your lashes). Dead skin, oils, or makeup can build up at the lash line and can cause the lashes to shed faster or even cause irritation.

  3. Brush them to fluff them back up and so they do not get stuck or tangled together.

  4. Avoid sleeping on your face and pulling on them! Sleep on your back if you can. If you sleep on your side, you'll notice the lashes will shed more on the side you favor, which is totally normal!

  5. Avoid mascara, especially waterproof mascara! If you wear makeup, please remove your makeup at the end of the day with an OIL-FREE makeup remover followed by your lash shampoo

  6. If you workout a lot or have oily skin, wash your lashes often especially after a workout. Oils will break down the adhesive causing your lash extensions to shed quicker!

  7. Schedule your fill ins accordingly! Some people do best at 2 weeks and some can push it out to 3 weeks.

If you're new to lashes and experiencing some fall out, don't feel discouraged. It may take some time to get used to the aftercare and to figure out what works best for you! Please reach out if you have any questions!
